ABOUT PULMONARY MEDICINE...
Pulmonary medicine or Pulmonology, as it is called, is a specialty treating diseases of the lungs and chest. Diseases of the chest can come on suddenly or be life-long problems. We use modern techniques to make the diagnosis quickly. Technology used to diagnose the problem can include chest x-rays, lung function tests, blood work and oxygen tests, lung biopsy and other methods. Types of diseases commonly treated include:
